We are pleased to announce Ni’Kita Wilson on her new role as Vice President of Ideation and Innovation at Voyant Beauty.
In her new role, Ni’Kita will be responsible for helping to lead innovation efforts within the organization as we put our new Innovation Pillars into practice: exciting customers at our Innovation Centers, providing them with real-time innovation opportunities and helping them ideate and concept the next hit unique formula development.
Ni’Kita joined legacy Aware Products in 2014, and since then has served a critical role helping to lead sales efforts within the organization – servicing customers both big and small with her extensive product knowledge, chemistry expertise, sense of humor, and love of beauty. Prior to joining legacy Aware, she developed over 3200 products during her years as a bench chemist and was recognized and honored by Essence magazine with a Best in Black Beauty Award as an “Innovative Cosmetic Chemist”. Ni’Kita also spends much of her time helping beauty editors separate science from science fiction; and developing beauty products that will capture the eye of beauty editors and pass the scrutiny of her colleagues.
Ni’Kita is a member of the New York Chapter- Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), and Skin of Color Society. She is an active advisory board member of the College of Science and Mathematics at her alma mater Montclair State University.
Ni’Kita holds many patents, authored a chapter on Anti-Aging Ingredients, and is a regular beauty award judge for major publications.
